Parts
Tesla front license plate holder · temporary plate from the kit · four kit screws
- 01
Gather the kit and towels
Pull the front license plate holder, the temporary plate the screws sit on, and the four screws from the bag that ships with the car, usually in the rear cargo area. Set out paper towels for cleaning.
- 02
Clean the front nose
Wipe the front of the car where the holder will sit with a wet paper towel. Dry the surface completely so the adhesive can bond.
- 03
Center the holder
Hold the plate holder on the nose and line it up with the center of the car. Confirm left-right balance before you expose any adhesive.
- 04
Peel adhesive and hook under the lip
Peel the backing from the stickers on the plate holder. Hook the small hook under the hood lip at the bottom edge so the holder sits against that lip.
Do not stick it down until the hook is fully under the lip and the holder is still centered.
- 05
Press the holder on
Press the holder firmly so it adheres along the bottom of the lip. Recheck that it is centered and fully stuck before you walk away.
